Some University of Iowa employees have their retirement funds invested
in the CREF Social Choice account.  The value of one unit of stock in
this fund changes from day to day with market fluctuations.  The file

      soccho2002.dat

tracks the daily changes in the value of a unit of stock in this account
for a one year period beginning in fall of 2001.  The variables are:

     account --  has the value CREFsoci for all records in the file
     unitval --  numeric value in dollars of one unit of stock
     date    --  date in mm/dd/yyyy form
