• A reasonable book on C is Practical C Programming, 3rd Edition, By Steve Oualline.
• A fairly complete reference is C: A Reference Manual, 5th Edition, by S. P. Harbison and G. L. Steele Jr.
• Some on-line notes for a course at Strathclyde are available.
